Philosophy

Monarch Academy promotes an innovative, comprehensive, differentiated, instruction to create a loving, nurturing atmosphere for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  We are committed to working closely with families to set identifiable goals for their children that will develop the intellectual and social skills required for independence, self-advocacy, and inclusion in the community. We ensure that:

  1. Each student receives an initial comprehensive assessment. This tool is used to develop an individual-based curriculum that will be used to determine support services needed. These include structured learning environments, motivational strategies, and the collection and monitoring of data to make sure our children are making progress.
  2. Every student has many social and life skill opportunities available at school and in the community. Our students are given the juncture to develop their personal interests which promote the ability for self-expression.
  3. We use a comprehensive approach to behavior that supports socially appropriate behavior and for those students that require it, individualized behavior plans that teach appropriate behaviors while addressing maladaptive behaviors.

This offers the child unique resources to optimize current skills and abilities allowing enrichment for other areas in their lives. We believe that every child has hope for a bright future.
