Vocational Transition Program

Monarch Academy offers a work study and supported employment program for high functioning adolescents with ASD.  The program is community based.  Students in the program work at the establishment, access the bus system, and intern or volunteer while receiving valuable on the job experience.  The Vocational Transition Program is considered an elective for high school credit.

Program Goals

  • To increase independence in academic, vocational, daily living and social skills. 
  • To provide vocational opportunities in the classroom, school, and connect with community business partners.
  • To build each student's capacity to become a productive member of society.
